The Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development (MLGDRD) in partnership with the Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS) is organising a series of two-day nationwide orientation and training programmes for Hon. Assembly Members in the Two Hundred and Sixty One (261) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
The programme ampng others would enable the new Assembly Members transition effectively into their roles and responsibilities . The training provides insights into Ghana's Decentralisation and Local Governance System, the Assembly System, and the Roles and Responsibilities of Assembly Members, Local Government and Administrative Laws, the Model Standing Orders amongst others.
